A Minneapolis architecture company continues to work on building a new Farmington High School even after the school district fired the firm.

Minnesota dropped from second to fourth — its worst ranking — and Wisconsin dropped from 12th to 17th in UnitedHealth Foundation's annual ranking of healthiest states. Overall, the nation's health stagnated. The 2008 rankings were based on outcomes in 2006 and 2007, before the economic slide.

Jovan Montee Holeman was supposed to be paid $400. But when the man who was supposed to cough up the money didn't show, Holeman took the man's girlfriend and family instead, police say.
